Sheffield YJS receives national award

Our service has been recognised for its work with young people with special education needs.  Sheffield is one of ten local authorities to be given an award by the education charity, Achievement for All.

The award is part of a Department for Education project, to share best practice for young people with complex needs across the youth justice sector.  Achievement for All has highlighted Sheffield's partnership work with health agencies, schools and the work with secure children's homes and custodial establishments to arrange meaningful education, training or employment to help young people adjust to life when they leave.
